IBBN: Massive Turn Out For Free Medical Treatment In Karu, Nasarawa State.

The Initiative For Better And Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), held a free medical outreach at Masaka Market, Karu local government area, Nasarawa State, on Thursday 5th February, 2026.
The one-day event which was organised in collaboration with Salvation Gospel Ministry International (SALGOM), Karu, brought together a medical team who attended to patients, who turned out in large number to receive free medical treatment.
About 250 people from all works of life, were attended to by medical personnel put together by the IBBN, and out of this number, 150 of them have received free treatment after undergoing such medical examination like malaria test, blood sugar testing, and blood pressure screening.
In his remarks during the occasion, the Nasarawa State Advisory Council Chairman of IBBN, Mr. Mathias Aboki Kyuni, said that IBBN is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), which is out to ensure that citizens of this great country called Nigeria, enjoy dividends of democracy.
He pointed out that Nigeria is so blessed with abundant natural resources that no one must suffer hunger and poverty.
According to him, government exists basically to protect lives and property of the citizens, and to provide them with welfare, but lamented that successive governments to date, have failed the country in this regard.
He attributed this failure to the fact that over the years, wrong people were voted into power, who instead of working for the collective interest of the citizens, indulged in negative and unpatriotic acts of selfishness, tribalism, and massive corruption.
Speaking both in English and Hausa languages, Mr. Kyuni explained that IBBN is not a political or a religion movement, but a movement that is built on sacrificial principles and ready to work with like-minded individuals, groups and organisations, to bring about a positive, political transformation in the country, where every Nigerian, irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion, will have equal opportunity to enjoy the economic potentials that abounds in the country.
Mr. Mathias Aboki Kyuni who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Abraham Lawi Kyuni Help Foundation, an NGO that provides help to the sick in the hospitals and the poor and the needy elsewhere, concluded his remarks by saying that IBBN is ready to lead the way for the struggle to effect positive leadership change through peaceful and democratic process, right from the local government, to the state and federal levels, for a better and brighter Nigeria, where there will be justice, fairness and equitable distribution of the nation’s wealth.
Bringing the well-attended event to an end, the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the IBBN, and leader of the outreach team, Pastor Ray Yakubu Maiyaki said that IBBN is out to touch lives and bring practical help to the local communities, promising that more of this type of programme will take place in other parts of the state in the nearest future.
He expressed appreciation for the medical team, volunteers, partners, community leaders and members of the general public who attended the event.
Pastor Ray who is also founder and pastor in charge of SALGOM, specifically appreciated the presence and efforts of the Chairman, Nasarawa State Advisory Council of IBBN, towards success of the event, in spite of the health challenge he is passing through.
