The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has in a public notice issued on Monday, announced that there will be interruption in electricity supply to parts of Nasarawa State and Abuja, on Tuesday, 7th July, 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
The distribution company listed areas to be affected as Karu, Nyanya, Jikwoyi, Kurudu, Orozo, Karshi, Keffi, Nasarawa Toto, Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon and environs.
According to the notice, the power outage is due to maintenance exercise to be carried out by a technical team of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), on the 132KV APO/Karu/Keffi/Akwanga Line1 at Apo Transmission Substation, on the affected day and time.
The statement further explained that the planned maintenance would be carried out by TCN as part of its network upgrade and reliability improvement efforts. And that during the period, electricity supply to the affected areas will be impacted.
