2027: Jerry Gana Receives Jonathan’s PDP Certificate of Return As Presidential Candidate

Former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana receives PDP Certificate of Return on Jonathan’s behalf as 2027 presidential election.

The presentation was done by the PDP Interim National Working Committee led by Kabiru Turaki, SAN, during its special national convention held at a private residence located in Owo Close, Area 10, Garki District of Abuja, after the gathering at the original venue for the convention at the rented A-Class Event Centre, Abuja, was barricaded by the Nigeria Police Force, following directives by Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesome Wike banning unrecognised party factions from using Abuja event places.

However, the former president was not present at the event where his nomination was formally ratified.

Meanwhile, Jonathan is yet to officially comment on his election as the presidential candidate of the Turaki-led PDP group.

Another PDP faction backed by the FCT minister, Nyesome Wike, had earlier elected Sandy Onor as its presidential candidate.
