The Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has approved the constitution of the Board Members of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, DASH, Akwanga.
This was disclosed in a public statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Dr Shua’abu Magaji Labaran, on May 25, 2026.
According to the statement, His Royal Highness, Samson Gamu Yare, the Chun Mada, was appointed as Chairman of the Board, while Dr Abene Esala Ezekiel, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital will serve as a member.
Other members of the Board named in the statement include Dr Machunga Rimini Kefas, Mohammed Ibrahim Okpanaki, Dr Jude Yekpowudu, Jerry Abimiku Maikasuwa, Dr Ibrahim Alhassan Adamu, Barrister Fatima Dalhatu Araf, Hajiya Habiba Sani Abdullahi, and Shamsudeen Abubakar Maikasuwa.
Tsaku Kassa Agbashim, Director of Administration and Supplies, was appointed as Secretary of the Board.
The statement further stated that the Board which is expected to provide policy direction and strengthen the administration of the state-owned Specialist Hospital in Akwanga, would be inaugurated in due course.
